Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve Grand Opening Event

County Commissioner R. Jack Cagle held a grand opening of the new Precinct 4 Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve facility on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 10 am to 2 pm.

Guests were able to explore the preserve’s 40-acre Marshall Lake from Precinct 4’s canoes or pontoon boat, hike or bike the 1.7 miles of paved trails. There were nature presentations
following the ceremony that began at 10 AM.

Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve along Cypress Creek

A Harris County Precinct 4 project to turn the Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve into a public park is moving along ahead of schedule.

A partnership between the county and Prestonwood Forest Utility District has cut years off the original timeline with the 80-acre park now on track to be open to the public by next spring, county officials said.

To celebrate the release of their new vinyl release of the APES score, Mondo and Alamo have teamed up to present APES in all its big screen glory for one night only at locations nationwide.

Summer Art 2016 Kids Camp

The Art Class & Milk Glass 2016 Summer Art Camp is that helps promote kids creativity and more importantly happiness. Activities provided at the camp include drawing, painting and working with different artistic mediums. Camps are in session daily from June 20-24, and July 18-22 from 10:30 am to 1 pm. Wet 'n' Wild SplashTown opens for summer this weekend!

Houston's Wet 'n' Wild SplashTown will be opening its gates for the season on Saturday, May 7! This waterpark has been providing family fun and entertainment for over 30 years, and its newly renovated facilities are sure to provide park goers with the best experience. Wet 'n' Wild SplashTown is over 80 acres, featuring over 40 fun rides and activties, as well as several food and drink vendors. The park will be open weekends only until May 22, when it will be open daily.

Don't miss the 2nd Saturday at the Depot!

Don't miss out on Tomball's 2nd Saturday at the Depot, which will be held on Saturday, April 9, at The Train Depot in Downtown Tomball! The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. with games, activities and entertainment for the whole family, and a movie will be shown on the giant inflatable screen at dark. Vintage Marketplace Restaurant Village to be completed in 2016

The Vintage Marketplace Restaurant Village, the second phase of the Vintage Marketplace, is expected to be completed by the end of 2016, Read King Development Company officials said. This new development is an addition to the original Vintage Marketplace development located at Louetta and Cutten and anchored by Whole Foods. The Restaurant Village will feature several new restaurants, one of which will be Pei Wei, whose management recently signed a lease for a 3,300 square-feet.

Grand Parkway Segments F-1, F-2 set to open free of tolls

Grand Parkway Segments F-1 and F-2, stretching 24 miles from Highway 290 to Interstate 45, are scheduled to open tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 6, which will make travel in the Northwest Houston area both faster and easier. Officials announced that drivers will be able to use these Grand Parkway segments free of tolls until Feb. 15. Officials said other segments such as those near Kingwood and Humble should open soon after Segments F-1 and F-2.
